The History of Morse Clinics

Morse Clinics was founded on the unwavering belief that every individual deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based care in their journey toward recovery. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to providing high-quality treatment for opioid use disorder, fostering hope, and building healthier communities.

Morse Clinic was founded by Dr. Eric Morse, an Addiction Psychiatrist with specialized training in the use of Methadone and Buprenorphine to treat opioid addiction, which he completed during his fellowship at the University of Maryland Addiction Program in Baltimore (2002–2003). Beyond managing opioid treatment programs, Dr. Morse collaborates with patients to address mental health challenges and optimize their performance in sports and the workplace through Carolina Performance.

Since 2003, Dr. Morse has mentored physicians in the effective treatment of opioid addiction as a PCSS-B mentor with SAMHSA and ASAM. He has also served as a consultant to the North Carolina State Opiate Treatment Authority, collaborating with the Governor’s Institute to advance addiction treatment efforts.

Morse Clinic opened its first location in Clayton in March 2010, offering compassionate care and Medication-Assisted Treatment to individuals seeking recovery. In 2012, the clinic expanded to Henderson, North Carolina, and in 2015, it began serving the Siler City community.

For over a decade, Morse Clinic has been dedicated to helping thousands of patients across North Carolina reclaim their lives and build a brighter future in recovery.

Dr. Eric Morse, an esteemed Addiction Psychiatrist, established Morse Clinics to bridge the gap in care for individuals affected by substance use disorders. Under his leadership, Morse Clinics introduced an innovative model of care, combining Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) with personalized counseling and support services. This holistic approach not only treats addiction but also addresses the emotional and mental health needs of each patient.
