ROANOKE RAPIDS — North Carolina is getting a hand up in its fight against the opioid epidemic from the federal government.
Belief in this “rock bottom” can keep people who are struggling from reaching out for help.
September is Recovery Month and the Morse Clinic of Roanoke Rapids is hosting a Community Health Fair. It is scheduled to occur on September 12th from 9AM to 1 PM.
"A great part of the tragedy of this opioid crisis is that, unlike in previous such crises American has seen, we now possess effective treatment strategies that could address it and save lives. Yet tens of thousands of people die each year because they have not received these treatments."
