Vivitrol Treatment: A Long-Lasting Option for Opioid Use Disorder

Vivitrol is an FDA-approved intramuscular (IM) injection administered every four weeks to treat opioid use disorder. It is recommended for individuals who have been opioid-free for at least five consecutive days and have successfully tolerated at least one dose of oral naltrexone. If you are already on Vivitrol before arriving at Morse Clinics, you can seamlessly continue your treatment with us.

After an evaluation by one of our medical providers, Vivitrol can be prescribed as part of your recovery plan. The injection will be administered by a nurse at Morse Clinics into the buttock of your choice. Please note that prior authorization for the medication may or may not be required, depending on your insurance provider.

Patients receiving Vivitrol at Morse Clinics have the following requirements for treatment.
