🖤 The Black Poster Project: Honoring Lives Lost to Addiction 🖤
On November 3rd and 4th, the McKimmons Conference Center in Raleigh hosted the deeply moving Black Poster Project, a memorial that lays bare the devastating toll of substance use disorder.
Each poster displayed at the event represented a life cut short. Thousands lose this battle every year, and the faces on those posters are just a fraction of the heartbreak. Families are left carrying the weight of grief, memories, and unanswered questions. The pain ripples outward, touching parents, siblings, children, and entire communities.
Addiction is not a respecter of persons. It affects every age, background, and walk of life. No one is immune, and no one should feel alone. At Morse Clinics, we share a deep connection with these individuals and their families. Our team — the Morse Force — works tirelessly every day to save lives, support recovery, and offer hope to those still fighting.
One of the many powerful displays was a wall dedicated to military service members, each poster accompanied by their dog tags — a solemn reminder that addiction does not discriminate. It affects the brave, the young, the hopeful, and the loved.
If you didn’t attend this year, we urge you to consider joining us in 2026. This memorial is not just an event, it’s an experience. It’s jarring, thought-provoking, and profoundly touching. You will not leave the same.
